John, With your engine at a fast idle, drizzle some Marvel Mystery Oil down the carburetor. Make sure you are outdoors as it will be very smoky. Keep the engine running. Say goodbye to mosquitos. If this works, add MMO to your gas tank at each fill. The instructions are on the bottle. Ken

I assume your engine is shaking, you could use a vacuum gauge to check the valves, when use MMO, drip in the carb with engine running, that KEN said if the the needle is shaking at first and after the MMO treatmenr it stops, this is a good.now you know it worked, now your vacuum gauge should have a steady reading, ar idle around 18-20 inches, you should also check the ignition wires, dissconect one at a time and see if makes a difference, in shaking maybe a good time to check compression and clean the spark plugs. see if all cyllinder are in SPECS, I spray water on the wires with a old windex spayer, and see if you have spark arcing you can hear the wires arcing to metal conduits, my 2 cents ,,,,, 37 Ragtopman, Maine
