The Early Ford V8 As Henry Built It. Very good resource for restoring your car also. You can find used copies on AbeBooks.

You can purchase an owner's manual for your 1938 Ford from C&G. They have them in stock. https://cgfordparts.com/owners-manual-38-passenger-85-hp-v-21.html

Here is a link tto the 1938 brochure that shows both the Standard and the Deluxe models. http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Ford/1938_Ford/1938_Ford_Folder/1938%20Ford%20Folder-04-05.html Here is a link to a Deluxe dash on a car coming up for auction. https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars/1938/ford/deluxe/101680511 If you click on the GALLERIES tab on the left side of your screen, you can see the 2 Deluxe cars.

I second the comment about purchasing the V-8 Club's 38-39 book. Best investment you can make as a new owner.

38 FORD TUDOR First thing, buy the 1938 1939 book from the EARLY FORD V8 CLUB, on this web site, this is a GREAT BOOK , wealth of knowledge in it, to avoid mistakes in restoration and order some parts catalogs from some of the venders selling BUT REMEMBER,, Original parts are worth the extra $ if you can post a photo of your car and describe it, does it have 60 HP or a 85 HP engine, hope this helps 37Ragtopman ,Maine,

I just landed a 1938 Ford Tudor. I have a few questions: How do I tell what model it is? Is there a resource for how the original dashboard was laid out? What knobs effected what outcomes e.g. Wipers etc. The front window frame, is it stainless steel or does it get painted? The PO has it polished with 800 grit (very recently) so it looks like SS but I cannot tell. The car has seen many POs with varying degrees of "good ideas". I would like to return the dash to its original look and feel. I cannot find an online owners manual. Would love to find those first few pages with the photo of the dash and numbered arrows pointing to each knob... I assume they had something like that back then Thanks for all your assistance.
