HT means heat treated. 48-6049/50 indicates heads are for domed pistons, 1935 and 1936

I have a 1935 fordor touring sedan, stock except for some parts off different years. I have iron heads, very little stamping or cast other than the Ford script center bottom and upper right is very light -B. 1. These were stock for 1935? My book says aluminum except for trucks and commercial cars. Just wanting to know more about my flat head. Thanks, Dennis

Dennis, Your sedan would have been equipped with aluminum heads from the factory. Lots of things can happen in 90 years. Someone probably replaced the aluminum heads with the commercial cast iron heads many years ago. Ken

Look at the 35-36 restoration book revisions that are posted on this web site for a description of the original car aluminum heads.
