Adding diesel fuel to your gas will not extend the life of the fuel. Stabil, Seafoam or another stabilizer should be added to you fresh gas every time that you fill up. Add enough to stabilize the fresh gas and periodically or before storage, run you car until the fuel level is near empty (this uses the old fuel), then fill the tank with fresh fuel and stabilizer. Stabilizers work best with fresh fuel.

It is a bad idea. If you have sticking valves, a little MMO will help, but the best solution is to do a valve job and clean the valve stems and guides. JohnA, you never stated what bad effects you are trying to offset.

Yes, Randy Rundle of "Fifth Ave Garage", Clay Center, Kansas City, Kansas recommends it for ethanol fuel to offset the bad effects. Call him to get how much to the gallon; it is about 10 or 12 ounces as I remember; Google the name and address to get his phone number, to verify that!

Here is your answer. Use this site to find ethanol free gas -- in your area, and when you travel. https://www.pure-gas.org/

People living in some areas of the country do not have access to alcohol free fuel.

Hi....Why don't you just buy alcohol-free gasoline? I use it in my '51 Ford, and it is 91 octane, too. BT
