Does anyone have a suggestion on how to remove the fuel pump push rod bushing from the block? The engine is in the car and I would really not have to remove the manifold. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks, Dave

They are almost impossible to remove with engine in car. Unless there complety worn out leave alone. Even new ones are a very sloppy fit in reallity. Its the umbruler that stops most of the oil from coming up into the valley chamber. ken ct

It is extremely rare one has to replace this bushing. Is the bushing worn through? They are usually very loose. The hole can be packed with paper or cotton and a tap run inside and then a threaded rod with a spacer and nut used to pull the bushing out.

If you don't mind metal chips down in your engine go ahead and tap it. You will get some out with a greased tap BUT NOT all of them. IMO, ken ct

Thank you for all the insight. I will just leave it well enough alone. Thanks again, Dave
