I have a 1936 Ford and it has a 1948 Ford Flat Head V8 Engine in it. It does not have a oil filter . The oil is very dark in color and I need to change the oil .What type and grade oil would you suggest I put replace it with I live in Las Vegas NV and it gets over 100 degrees here in the Summer ??

We have had good luck with 30w, or 20-50 Valvoline RACING oil. Ask a 1000 guys you will get a 1000 answers. I would not be afraid of any quality name brand oil.

Any good grade of oil. Ford specified 30W in the summer, so 10W-30 is what I use.

if you want the oil to remain in the engine, where it does the most good, then use 20w50 oil, Kendal is great, but so are the other quality 20w50 oils
