Passenger side rain gutter is gone, Driver side in good condition - looking for a replacement or material to use to make a replacement rain gutter - have searched on line but the one link that I saved a while ago will not come up again - any suggestions appreciated

I'm going to guess by purchasing a gutter made for a '40 coupe, you'd at least get the material. You'd have to form it to follow your roof line of course but that should be easy enough.

I'll second Kube's suggestion as I don't recall anyone making 41-48 rain gutters.

Gene's hot rods sell the 39/40 ones.

I got the gutters from Gene's - the front looks to want to fit without too much work, the rear one has the bend over the top of the side window but does not have the upward curve to follow the body - roughly inserted into the partially cleaned area where the missing gutter was and gently started to make the bend - feels like it will work and started to curve upwards - I didn't have time to continue and will have to work on further prep of the roof seam, including figuring out how to brace things when I get the roof separated for that rear portion. The body is now supported on rotisserie and I am thinking maybe I should set it back on the frame and bolt it to the mounts - but it is so much easier to position and work on it without the frame in the way - anybody with advice on any of this would be appreciated.

Hi Bill, I would recommend caution if separating roof while on the rotisserie. getting the gutter in and welded may cause some alignment problems. Would rather see you do it bolted to frame. Just be careful. Good luck 42oink

Gutter replacement is done - turned out good, looks good outside - inside a little rough but functional. Need to finish body to primer and then seal both sides before paint.
