The seat of the bolt head is a Little deeper than the surface and the Edge doesn't look machined, so that hole must be original. I found in the green parts book, that bolts was avaiable, so it must be original. Does someone build engines for Ford in this time?

I doubt if it left that factory that way and believe that someone thought that bolts were better than studs.

No they don't. So it must be a 33/34 but why it has bolts instead of studs? Regards

Hi, I Need your help to identify a engine block. It has the engine No. 6647 and looks like a 32 block with no ventilation holes. The confusig Thing is, instead of main bearing studs there are bolts from the valve camber to the main bearings. Thanks for helping. Regards from Switzerland Fabian
