Our clock mirror is nicely restored and works well, but lacks the art deco red V8 oval center and white circle design around the clock face. Does anyone know of a source for a water-slide decal like that? Perhaps from one of the clock rebuilders who advertise in the V8 Times ?

Grant, check with Don Rogers as he may know of a source. He's in the roster in Missouri.

Thanks, Tom. I did contact Don. There is now a Parts Wanted ad running on this site.

How do you know your clock is supposed to have the V8?? See the 35-36 restoration book for pictures. See the V8 Times and contact Dave Braun "Clock Mirror Services"

40 Coupe, I sent Grant pictures of the 35, early to mid 36, and mid to late 36 clock mirrors. He indicated that he had an early to mid 36 clock and therefore should have the red V-8.

I've spoken to Dave Braun. He hasn't run across anyone who is selling water-slide decals which would complete the restoration of a clock mirror.

Grant, now that you have a photo, a good sign painter or striper could paint it on your glass.

Good morning, Tom. I agree that having a talented striper paint the mirror is one possible solution. That may be what ends up happening. Hope to see you at Auburn in August.
