VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. You can use multiple external links within a post. This link is from photos on a site from Don Clink's 'Deuce@75' albums:

Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)
HOW DO I SHOW MY EMAIL ADDRESS ALONG WITH MY USERNAME? You can LogIn on the Forum, and select PREFERENCES. On this page Members can add optional information such as their City,State, Country; Occupation; Hobbies: list a Homepage; list AOL Instant Messanger Handle; Signature; "Make Email Address viewable to others;" and even change the number of Default Topics shown on a page. WHEN others click on your profile, they will see this information.

I have a 1941 Ford and Mac's sells a tail light lens with LED lights in it that a plug fits in the light socket. Do I need to install a 6 volt to 12volt step up converter between tail light wires and tail light pig tails? Mac's part number is 11A-13450-LED $32.49 ea. DROK sells a 6 v to 12 v step up converter for about $14 with two wires in and 2 wires out.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Buzz

That is a lot of work and expense for just taillights. It is better to search for LED six volt bulbs, or the available "bright" conventional bulbs.

Can you plz provide me some additional information on the "bright" bulbs. Our car is 6v neg ground (it was that way when we bought it, and when I rewired it, I left it neg grnd), and I'd really like the tail-lights/brake-lights to be as bright as possible. My related questions are: 1) do they create too much heat; and 2) do they draw more amps than the "original" type of bulbs? Thanking you in advance for the info. Regards . . . Thx.

I have 6 volt LED tail lamp bulbs in a couple of my old Fords. Work well. You can find them at:

In addition to the bright bulbs you should paint the inside of the tail lamp housings with white paint. It makes a big difference.

I tried 6v led & they weren't very good. Got new lenses from MikeCo....mikecoantique@verizon.com. They are plastic & much lighter in color than originals. The tail lights in my 52 Vicy are now much brighter on the stock 6v positive grd. bulbs. Found the name of the company more than ironic, since my name is mike, my 2 cents. They carry a variety of other stuff too. Good luck & MERRY CHRISTMAS V-8 ers ! mike

Doctor, if your Ford is using a 6 volt coil designed for Fords, you would be better off restoring it to Positive ground as the coil is designed for POS ground.

LED bulbs create less heat than standard bulbs and use less current to acheive the same brightness.

Dbuzzdavis: to use the LED lens, you would have to have two converters, one for the brake lights and one for the tail lights and license light. For the brake lights, the converter would be wired to the feed for the stop light switch and for the tail lights and license light, it would be wired before the split for the license light. The LED bulbs that I used in my 40 Mercury just required replacing the bulb.

the 6 volt LED bulbs from superbright DO work with positive ground. or negative.
