Has anyone had experience running this non-water based coolant in their flathead? Did you notice the flathead running cooler. It says there is no internal corrosion since it has no water in it. It seems expensive so I wanted opinions before I take the plunge. Thanks in advance for the responses.

There is no better coolant than plain water, and none even as good as plain water. That said, you do need corrosion inhibitors, and in freezing temperatures, you need antifreeze. Save your money.

Alan is right. There is no better coolant than plain water. Just make sure that the water is free of minerals which can be deposited on the cooling surfaces to the detriment of cooling system effectiveness. Use distilled water which can be purchased from your local grocery store. To prevent corrosion within the system use a good water pump lubricant or a small amount of anti-freeze.

If you see a racer having a product decal, it is most likely that the sponsor requires it. That does not necessarily mean the racer uses it.
