I was always toldcupping was a shock problem ?? Not a balance problem. If so I would recommend a balance after that is resolved anyway. Old time tire shops used to have a machine that slid under the wheel and spun the wheel on the car and balanced by feel . ken ct. Had my 36 done that way like 20 yrs ago.

hi fordv8j thanks for your input I am considering the beads, but use plastic or ceramic ? how many ounces did you add and what was the tires size,is there a certain amount for a certain size tire ? a formula I see them on E-BAY for sale I think this is the best option, these keep on balancing as the tires wear, also what is the best tire in you option is the best for 600-16 I have FIRESTONES WW on now, I changed these a while back , but never wrote down when I changed them, and this are my second set, and owned the car since 1980 when it was put on the road , and think is time for a new set when I go to HERSHEY in the fall thanks every body for their input,

Use balance beads. I tried them in the tires on my '51 and it runs real smooth. No weights needed.

that is how I balanced mine, with a front hub, balance the hub first, use all 5 lug nuts, then spin balance

I want to balance my wheels on my 1937 CABRIOLET just replaced my king pins and notice a cupping on front tires, everything else is tight in the Front end, any ideas I heard there was a V8 member selling a adapter,to balance these wide 5 wheels, is this for spin balance or bubble balance I have access to a modern spin wheel balance machine and used a old brake drum, but seems like it to much weight to balance 7 1/2 oz on the outside and 4 oz in the inside, many thanks for your input regards 37RAGTOPMAN
