I'm currently trying to remove the coil, I have the two screws are removed and the wire lead removed, however the coil is very loose but I can't seem to pull it out, is there any further parts I need to remove to completely remove the coil. The distributor is still in the car, do I need to remove it? Thanks in advance. -Keith

You have to remove the top dist mounting bolt pass side to unhook the ground attaching bolt to the condenser. It will come out then. ken ct.

You would not have had to post this question if you had read the response to your original post.

TomO. I see what your saying but the car has a 78-12024-a coil and the 78-12300 condenser. The coil is loose and ready to come out but I'm having a hard time getting to the condenser bolt. I am used to working on model A's but the 38 is hard to get at it. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Keith

You can get a 12 point 1/2" box wrench on the bolt to loosen it or use a 1/4" drive 1/2" universal socket with a short extension to remove it, like I do.
