I make mine out of 1/4" marine plywood and drill a finger hole to lift it.
1934 Ford's since 1972

The floorboard battery cover for your '34 is made of wood. I was able to get a replacement that fit perfectly from All Ford Parts in Campbell, California. They show part number 40-55336 in their catalog. You can reach them by calling 800-532-1932 or 408-378-1935....

I have a Ford Tudor Model 40 1934. The battery cover is missing. Is the original lid made of metal or wood? I think the spare part number is 40-700336 "Lid, Floor Battery Cover".
