Have you googled 1940 Ford, 1950 Ford etc.? Somtimes I see 1950 parts in 1940 on ebay and so forth. it's crazy, but true!

The last I knew was those tanks should be coming in the fall. I was searching for a tank for my 54 Mercury and called all the tank manufacturers as I thought the '52-'54 Ford tank would fit my car. Unfortunately they do not and I wound up using a tank from a '57 Mercury and had to use the neck from my '54. Why they make a new tank for a '57 mercury and not one for the '54 is a mystery to me.
