The outer band holds the face plate to the tire.

40Coupe,1934Ford: Yes, I have the stainless trim and it was held on by threaded fasteners, so it might be correct. How does the strap hold the cover?...I've never had an outside spare and only have the band and cover at this point.

33-34 should be 28 1/4" OD and 15 3/4" ID. for 34 the trim was held on with threaded fasteners and nuts. so the round holes look good.

It could be because it has the holes for the stainless trim, but what are the measurements?

I got this from a friend for my 34...anybody know if it is actually a 34 cover? The inside diameter of the inner ring is 15 inches and the outside diameter of the outside ring is just over 28 inches...
