Is there a color blue that was available in 1936 but not in 1935. I was looking at a 1935 phaeton and the owner said it is painted in 1936 colors. The 35/36 book seems to indicate no new color was added in blue.

Ford offered an Easter or Springtime color in 1936 called Bambalina Blue. Hope this helps.

The "Antique Ford Repaint Manual" published by Ditzler many years ago, lists Dearborn Blue as the only '35 blue (with Poppy Red stripe and wheels) and Washington Blue as the only '36 blue (wheels were body color and the stripe was Tacoma Cream). I'm not certain how different these two blue colors were. The chips in the old book look identical.

I tend to agree that it Bambalino Blue that was introduced in April 1936.
