Hi: I'd like to know what is the horn to look for, trying to get the correct one for 1934. My 1934 project truck has a horn that was adapted to be installed in the firewall, but I am just hoping it might be the original one. Can anybody help identify it? Thanks, Victor

The horn you have is not correct. Your truck would use the Sparton "round back" horn that has a bracket that mounts the horn under the left headlamp. It utilizes the stud from the headlamp bucket. The Sparton horn looks similiar to the Model A horn but has a round cover on the back of the Motor. It is also a "beep" type horn and not an "oooga" horn.

Thanks! Pretty clear, but is there a particular model number or something to identify it? Victor

The same horn model was used on trucks from '33-'37. It is 48-13831-C. It was replaced later by 51T-13823, according to page 563 in the green book. C&G shows truck horns '35-'37 as 48-13802. 800/266-0470. I'd be surprised if you can find an original horn in usable condition, as they were exposed to the weather, particularly on trucks, and had a short life.

Marty: I browsed your site but could not find the truck. Any chance you could post a link to it? Thanks, Victor

You can make up a horn by using the trumpet from a A model and fit the innards from a 33 to 36 and Dom cap .

Super, the horn for 35-37 trucks is different fron the 34 horn. The 35-37 horn is the same as the 35 passenger except it is all painted.
