Im needing to remove seat riser from my 40 pickup and wondered if its just held down with the cab mtg. bolts? I just acquired the pickup so im not familiar with it. Thanks.

The metal seat riser was riveted to the floor from the factory.

if the cab is a 40/41 the seat riser is the gas tank itself and yes it is bolted to the floor with threee bolts, gas line connection and the fuel gauge sender wire

The 40 gas tank is at rear of frame.

I will have to clean it up and find the rivet heads to drill them out to remove riser then for repair.Thanks for the good info.

'40/41 big trucks had the tank under the seat. The p/u's had the tank in the rear so a seat riser was installed in place of the under seat tank.
