47 pickup. Got the head nuts off, now what? Nearly all studs stayed in block. How should I get the head loose and up over the studs. I have pen oil soaking on the studs now.

Are the heads stuck to the block? If so, you can install a few of the heads nuts loosely on the studs, put the spark plugs back in and crank the engine over with the starter. The compression could pop the heads loose. Try this and get back with us for more tricks if this doesn't work.

Engine stuck is why I am removing heads. The heads may not be stuck too bad, i was afraid to get to rough with them.

You can try a mixture a lacquer thinner and ATF poured around the studs and put into the engine through the spark plug holes to both loosen the heads and free-up the pistons. Let this soak in for awhile and try to rotate the crankshaft by hand.
