In the 50's most boots were made of vinyl. Check with the V-8 Club's adviser for a better answer.

What are the dimensions and the material of the storage bag for the boot? Pictures would be great. royd13483@aol.com

The 52-53 Mercury adviser is Doug Schull. His contact information is printed the current issue of the V-8 Times and the Roster. You must be a member of the V-8 Club to receive his assistance. I cannot answer you questions in detail, because I do not have access to to a correctly restored car.

Seeing your posting on this site I assume you are a EFV8C member. Try looking in your "ROSTER" for Ray"S or "Doug's" number.RAY is in NY don't know where DOUG is from.

Thank you both. Now that I have what state they are in looking them up in the directory was easy. I now have calls in to both:

I don't think that it is a good idea to post other people location and phone number on the web, especially without their permission.

Per Doug and my body parts book: The part number is BC 7654486 AA and the body parts book refers to it as "Container Assembly (top dust hood)". It was eventually made from the left overs from the tops. So the material would be Haartz Cloth, No pictures, diagrams or dimensions as of yet.
