The windshield washer was an accessory and did not work very well due to the alcohol in the cleaning solution eating the rubber in the vacuum pump. It consisted of a glass jar, a vacuum pump mounted to the lid of the jar along with the hoses to the vacuum source and to the washer nozzles. What other information did you want?

Thank you Tom. My car has everthing but the jar and vac. pump. Did the jar mount on the left inter fender with three screws? Frank

Frank, Your car is a Canadian model and there are some differences between it and a USA model. I am not sure, but that sounds reasonable. I wish you a lot of luck finding those parts. I am not sure but I think that the Lincoln used the same pump and jar. The EFV8CA Mercury Adviser could probably give you more help on this rare accessory. Tom

Thanks again Tom. You have been a great help. One more thing. Where do I find the VIN on this car? Frank Yeats

Frank, there is no VIN as currently defined on your car. The serial number of the engine is used to identify the car. It is stamped on the left frame rail on USA made cars, between the front cross-member and the steering box mounting. It's format is * 99A-123456789 *. You may have a C in front of the 99A.
