Dear Ron, I just bought an original 1950 Mercury Sports Sedan with 33,000 miles in excellent condition,but when I went to open the hood,the release cable broke, any tricks to get the hood open,help.Also has your book on Mercurys been printed yet, am interested in getting one. thank you. Randy, with the aid of some light you should be able to get your hand between the grill and the hood latch plate.Once you see where the wire previously connected you should be able to push on the release and the hood will open. If the latch is stiff you may need to use a screw driver to trip the latch.

Hello, I am new to the club and will be looking for advice and some parts for my '39 Mercury Townsedan. Anyone have Mercury 8 hubcaps? I would like to find two chrome or SS full hubcaps like the ones on the front of my Merc. Thanks, Dan
