So, I was looking at an issue with my emergency brake - seems easy, I need to adjust the spring that holds the catch in place as you pull back the handle so that “ratchets” in place. Anyway, I gently bumped the bracket the holds the hood release to the dash panel and it broke. Anyone have one or know where I could find one?

You can possibly make one out of a piece of angle iron.

You should place an ad in the classified section of this website. As a temporary solution, you could epoxy the 2 parts together and then reinforce the bracket with sheet metal on the back side. Start with the mounting hole and go all the way to the rounded section at the bottom. Grind or file the metal so it doesn't show at the front. Tom

Thanks TomO, I'll put a post in the classified section. I was thinking about the piece of metal behind... if I can't find one, I think that's going to be my best bet assuming I can slip a 1/16" piece of something behind... aluminum maybe. Just trying to keep the car as original as possible...

I sometimes see some on ebay or use JB Weld on the back side to put it back together.

I would not use aluminum, it bends too easy and would not lend much support when you pull on the latch. Hardware stoes carry small pieces that are good for mending like this. If you can't find one in good condition, send me a PM and I will see if my granddaughter can 3D print one using your bracket as a model.
