40-41 jacking instructions

In doing more research it seems that the jacking instruction tag was attached to the trunk hinge on the 40 but attached to the jack body on the 41.

It hard to see but looks like it is not mounted to the hinge but just to the left of the hinge. I was reading one place that it was suppose to be attached to the jack. The picture you sent me is that a restored car or an original factory picture. Since it look like a colored picture i'm assuming it is a restored car.

At least in 1940 (Ford) it was attached within the trunk at the left hinge. It's turned sideways in this photo but still, this should help. I'd tend to believe Mercury was similar.

Where on the 40-41 Jack is the jacking instruction tag attached.
