Does anyone know if the Ford & Merc windshield opening is the same dimension? The Merc is 47 1/4 inches side to side in the middle and 14 3/4" high in the middle and 14" at almost the ends. I know the body is 4" wider than a Ford, but I don't know if the windshield is wider too. No one is making the windshield seals right now . I know the Ford doesn't have the molding around the windshield, but I need a seal so if I have to leave the moldings off then so be it.

Have you called around to the various parts vendors to see if they have one on the shelf? check the links section in the left menu of this site and go to "vendors" and start calling around. I believe the Merc seal is different from the Ford

The Ford windshield seal will not fit the Mercury. Dennis Carpenter was the only one making the seal and they haven't had any in stock for the last 10 years. Pat Walsh has been trying to get one made for the past 5 years, I haven't communicated with him in the past couple of years, so I don't know what his progress has been. He has not updated his E-Bay store for a while, so he may be out of business. Here is a link to Pat's web site https://patwalshrestorations.net/
