What are people using in place of a circuit breaker. I can't find one. I don't like not having some thing to break the circuit if there is a short. I guess I'll have to put a fuse block in.

If the Mercury circuit breaker is the same as the one used on a 1940 Ford, the part number for it is 01A-12250-B. You might want to call the various vendors with that P.N. to see if they have one. If that doesn't work, you can try running an ad in the classifieds section of this website.
