Somehow, I've lost the base plate for my bumper jack. Mike or anyone else, do you know of a source where I can buy a replacement? Thanks very much.

Did you try Lin Stacy? He reproduced some a few years ago.

Base plates are often missing. More jacks around than the bases. They are on occasion listed on eBay. In fact, there was one just last week. keep an eye out there is my advice. If I recall correctly that one went for $50ish.

After I posted this question, I found a thread relating to jacks and tools that mentioned Lin Stacey. I sent him an email and he responded right away stating that he had the stands and would send me one. The price was $40, which I'm delighted to pay. Lin also sells tools and jacks and maybe some other stuff that relates to early Fords. From everything I've seen so far, he's a quality vendor.

$40 was a bargain. You'd be hard pressed to find a better man than Lin...

Lin is the best when it comes to service and quality. He is the Club's Tool Adviser and has spent many hours in the Archives researching tools for our cars.
