Convertible door handles, especially nice ones, are almost impossible to find. It really is quite easy to cut off the shaft from the old handle and weld it to the new handle. Me? I would never use the repop handles as they are a very poor reproduction. Instead, I'd find mint original handles and graph the convertible shafts to them.

If you currently have repo handles put them on the shelf and shop around for some nice originals. Not that hard to find at swap meets. May even find some NOS ones.

Mike Kubarth, Are the 1941 sedan outer door handles the same as the 1940's?? A guy (Ryan Englade) has them listed on this site under "Parts for sale." If they are that would be a lot easier than cutting and welding the new ones I have, with shafts that are too long!
