I suspect somebody drilled that hole oversize. My '41 pickup used the same jewel as the '40 passenger car.

There are 2 different size jewels and the vendors use all kinds of part numbers to describe them. Call your vendor and ask it they have the larger size one in stock. I can't tell you the P/N to ask for as the 4 vendors that I checked had different P/N than the Chassis Parts catalog .

That one won't work for you. Your best option would be to throw it away and get the one with the smaller hole that your hi beam jewel won't fall through.

I just bought a hi beam jewel for my 41 1/2 ton pickup and it falls right through the hole in the dash, which is 5/16. any help would be appreciated. i know this a 41 not a 40, but my options are dwindling.
