Exactly where is the coil resistor located in my 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe? I bought a spare, so I need to know where it is located, and can see what tool(s) I need to replace it should it go bad on the road.

It is located beneath the instrument panel - left side. You'd need a small socket or wrench to R&R the two hex nuts. As I recall, 3/8". The resistor rarely fails - rarely.

No, it is on the left side. It is located very high and towards the cowl. I've attached a photo that depicts the entire circuit breaker / resistor unit. The resistor is the small ceramic piece to the left in the photo.
