No need to remove the glass, just the garnish molding.

TRJ is 100% correct. You don't need to remove the glass. I remove it so I can get more material glued down in that area. I've never had an issue but my gosh, if the liner became lose there, I'd not be happy with myself. Mike "Kube" Kubarth
