What is the difference between the coupe and sedan rear fenders on a 35 ford

kubes40    -- 09-08-2025 @ 3:37 PM
The difference? Shape, IE fitment. They do not interchange.

That's a reasonable question, but then, Kube's answer is perfectly reasonable too.
Just can't say it any better!

The '35 (and '36) coupe/roadster/cabriolet rear fenders attach to the body with 7 bolts. The '35 (and '36) sedan/convertible sedan/phaeton rear fenders attach to the body with 8 bolts. All '35 rear fenders have a concave profile. All '36 rear fenders have a convex profile.

Thanks kube! Someone told me that the difference was the bolt flange and to use them interchangeable you would have to cut part of the bolt flange off.

  Thanks for your reply!

Thanks V8er!! Is there a mod that could be done to a sedan fender to fit on a coupe?

v8er    -- 09-09-2025 @ 7:35 AM
Yes, after adding a lot of metal and doing a lot of welding. And using a real coupe fender to get some critical dimensions.

Here's some comparisons that V8er and I put together a while ago
