Do you still have any of the Chicago region info? When I belonged there was a local guy who advertised in the monthly newsletter. Sold my 36.

Tom, I’m going to a meeting Tuesday 9/21. First meeting since I became active locally again.

Glad to see you there, Tuesday. Ask John Emmering for Ralph the Radio Guy's contact info. It should also be in the ads in your last Road Chatter. Ralph does good work and have him put in a MP3 port. Then you can buy a Bluetooth adapter that will allow you to connect to you cell phone to the radio, on E-Bay.

Radio came today, unfortunately glass all cracked during shipping. Does the radio fit in place of the glove box door or are holes cut in the door for the fit??

Glove box radios use a special mountings on the rear and a special face plate to replace the glove box door. There are two different Mfg of the glove box radio and each may have different designs to the faceplate and rear mount.

Were the faceplates wood grain to match the dash? Anyone have a good photo of a glove box radio as installed?

If you search on fordbarn.com you can find dimensions and many more photos of the rear bracket. The photos of the radio faceplate are also from fordbarn.com

Is this the same size as the glove box door ? Can holes just be cut in the door instead of using this faceplate?
