Just a quick question, I have Auburn radials on my 40 car and do not remember what the pressure should. It sat all winter and just checked a tire which is at 30#. Pretty sure It is supposed to be a bit more ?

I like to run 35 PSI in the radials on my 1953 Ford.

Given you are running radials there is no standard pressure - only personal preference for safe pressure for your tires. For total comfort 32, likely for even tread wear and optimum handling 35.

Did you look carefully at the sidewall to see if the recommended pressure is there?

I did look it over pretty well Charlie, but did not see pressure listed any place. I'll check it again for "kicks". 32 to 35 sounds pretty safe, thanks guys

If you are using radial tires on rims designed for bias ply tires, be careful about overinflation because radials flex considerably more than bias type. I use 35 psi in my bias ply tires to minimize flat spotting after long periods sitting. On very old rims, it is often advised to put tubes in the radials for safety.

The pressure on the tire sidewall is the maximum pressure. Most cars and trucks use somewhat less.
