Topic: convertible top boot

Hello again. In my final step in the completion of my restoration project to my 37 club cabriolet, I am installing the convertible top boot. The snaps are installed and the boot fits excellent. My problem is that I am not certain just how the portion of the boot fits over/ under the top of the back seat. The boot is a Lebarron Bonney boot and comes with an inch strap about 16" long in the center of the boot that would go (I don't know where). I did not receive any instructions nor could find anything on the web. If anyone knows how this boot is fitted over the back seat or has any photos that would be GREAT.
Thanks, Jakes

  hi
I would think if you it installed over the seat you would be sitting on it, on the back rest
my 37 CABRIOLET 760-A with rumble the boot goes down behind the seat, and has snaps going from one side to the other,on the back rest, where the top goes into,
not sure, where your strap would go, may be for when you remove the boot and roll it up, to keep rolled up ?
hope this helps, 37RAGTOPMAN

Thanks 37ragtopman for your reply. You are absolutely correct in saying that the boot should not go over the back seat cushion, because your back would be resting on it when you sit down. My problem is that I have a back seat and when the top is folded down, the convertible top material covers the top of the backseat making the boot stick out past the front surface of the back seat. I agree that the logical answer is to have the boot go behind the back of the back rest, but I don't know how this is possible. I'm hoping photos of the boot on a Club Cabriolet might help solve this problem.
Thanks again, Jakes

Don, thank you very much for these photos. I now can see what I need to do to install the boot.
Thanks again, Jakes!
