  Sorry if this is a question asked before, but is any of the Mercury 8 sedan glass the same size as a Ford? I need front 1/4 window rubbers and and rear vent window rubbers and cant see any listed for Mercury . Thanks

  Metro Moulded in Minneapolis may have the front vent window seal. They do make it for the Coupe and Convertible. If they don't make them, maybe they can give you some help on making some from their stock pieces.

I have not seen the results in person, so I cannot recommend either procedure. The parts catalog gives different P/N for the Mercury and Ford seals.

  Hi Si,
I'm guessing you have a Fordor that has rear quarter windows. I have a '40 Fordor Ford. I was unable to find the seals for the quarter windows. So, I order two sets for a coupe; a coupe's 1/4 windows are smaller than a fordor's. Use two coupe seals to make one fordor seal. If you carefully cut the butts, it's not an 'eyecatcher' at all.
