Topic: correct e-brake cable

i,ve learned the hard way that the only rear cable assembly to properly fit in a 41 ford Coupe is a 99A-2275 @ 106.25 in. , not 21A-2275@ 107.25in. that's for 42-48. the extra inch does not allow for any adjustment. (too long) Does anyone supply this one year only cable?

41flatty, Is this the front cable or the back one?

  rear

  Just a thought...
have you shortened the front cable at BOTH the lever assembly AND at the torque tube? You don't need to shorten the front a full inch to compensate for the 1" longer rear cable.

but you do. full take-up at both clevis equalizers. if I only had an inch less it would be within adjustment range. still waiting for a reply from fred Wilner.

Or, if you can find one, a cable shortener. Hard to describe, but it goes on cable with a threaded hook with a nut on the end. The cable goes around another part of the device. Wish I had a pic!
