Topic: 1940 Ford Instrument Panel Mounting Plates

I never knew these existed, until I found them in "It's Ford for 40."

My 40 Sedan has had washers holding the instrument panel in since I got it in 1975 (and I'm guessing long before that).

Have the mounting plates been reproduced?

Part # 01A-7004339

Thank you.

No, they have not. However, they are easy to make with "basic" tools.

I will see if I can make them out of sheet metal.

The photographs in your book will help immensely.

Thank you Mike!

I think sheet metal will bend when you tighten it down. I think you will need to use something heavier than sheet metal.
