Hello, I have a Black bumper measuring 52" wide, 1/4" thick, and 4" high with 3 Square holes. I BELIEVE it to be a late 30"s truck bumper but am trying to confirm.

looks like a truck (3/4 ton and up) bumper first used in 1938 and used until 1947 . probably was chrome plated at some time. war issue ones were not chromed

Thank you so much for your reply. This bumper is not as wide as 42-47 truck bumpers, it is very similar but about 1 foot less wide. I think it might be from a Ford smaller truck from later 30's or so but hope someone with that vintage might measure theirs and confirm demensions....I made the same mistake when I bought it on Ebay thinking it was 42/47....Best regards, Rick

Those are the dimensions of my 32 BB bumper and is probably the same as a 33. Never chromed and possibly as tough as a grader blade!
