Any suggestions on head stud sealant on a flathead? I've tried Indianhead sh*llac and Loctite RTV but nothing seems to work. Could you possibly use Permatex threadlocker?

I have used Permatex #2 Form-A-Gasket non-hardening pliable sealant with great results on studs that previously leaked. Remove the leaking studs from the block and clean them as well as you can with lacquer thinner. Lightly coat the threads that protrude into the water jackets with the sealant and reinsert them into the block. The leaks will be sealed.

Ya, Permatx 2, but the parts stores also have a special sealer just for that purpose that works great too.
