Did the 40 deluxe sedan have assist straps on the door post above the light?

The Ford Dealers' book titled "The Quality Group for 1940" shows an assist strap between the rear door post and the rear quarter window on the Deluxe Fordor sedan. No strap is shown on the Ford V8 (aka Standard) Fordor. The "1940 Ford Book" published by the V8 Club states: "The four-door sedan has two assist straps, one on each door post; the two-door sedan has one assist strap, on the passenger's side door post".
