I would like to get a PDF copy of the section from the 1931 service bulletin that changed the serial stamp fonts. The change in look of the 1,6 and 9 in particular. The later 1938 and 1940 bulletins repeating this change would be welcome too. Thanks. Steve

A company called "Restostamps" has stamp kits in both the early style and the late style with the unique star, one, six and nine.

Thanks, I'm familiar with that site and company. I'm looking for the Ford issued document that tells the authorities that when they see a capital letter "I" stamped that it means a numeral "1", as they will see when they look at the vehicle's title. Steve

Thank you for the scans! I debated whether or not to to have the title changed from the incorrect "I" letter to the correct "1" digit, but I was able to do it with little problem. The State Police offer who made the inspection bought my explanation using the Van Pelt page as supporting documentation, but he really just wanted to avoid any argument and get out of the cold garage without delay! When selling he car I didn't want to have any future dispute with a bureaucrat (or buyer) about the frame stamp not matching the title without having an official explanation at hand. Steve
