VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)

WHEN others click on your profile, they will see this information.

The 41 seat does have those pieces of wood, but I am interested in the wood that is under the floor beneath the seat between the frame and the floor. Found some of the original floor and it looks like the wood is scr*w*d under the floor with a thin piece of material between floor and wood, the seat bolts go through the seat track , then through the floor , then through the wood under the floor , then through the holes in the top frame rail. Just reading about mounting seat belts to floor and not to frame, interesting when it looks like the seat is meant to be bolted to the frame. Anybody have any knowledge of the seat mounting. I was told that the holes in the top frame rail are for the seat mounting and they do match up perfectly.
I also just realized that the hump in the new floor is too high for the seat frame to sit flat - have to cut down the center hump to make it lower so the adjusting rod and seat frame clears.

The 40 Business Coupe had wood hanging down under the seat on both sides of the torque tube hump. they were held to the bottom of the seat with L shaped brackets that were scr*w*d into the wood and into the bottom of the seat. This may have been carried over into 41????

My 41 business coupe required installing new floors and did not have the original front seat but I did find the wood that was under the floor between the frame and the floor where the seat frame mounts. The holes are in the top of the frame that match the holes in the wood. I have procured an original front seat with holes in the base that match the wood that I saved. My question pertains to the "locating" 1/4 bolt in the wood that must go through the floor near the front mounting bolt. There are also 2 wood screw holes in the wood that are about centered - they do not go through the wood. there was also what looked like thin cloth that I am guessing went between the wood and the floor. Would appreciate any info concerning my questions - thanks.
