If you get the miss again, try pouring a little Marvel Mystery oil down the carburetor. If the miss goes away for a few days, you might have a sticky valve. If it doesn't, try going back to points and see if that fixes it.

I have seen and experienced weird ignition misses caused by old carbon fiber spark plug wires that have broken down and shorting out. Sometimes it can be seen in the dark sparking like mini fireworks.

hi I had a problem with the electronic system on my 57 CHEVY, I when back to points, and problems solved these are a problem in the making, point system is much easier to figure what the problem is when having issues, also I would take a compression test, if ok., add MARVEL MYSTERY OIL in the gas, I suspect a sticking valve, if the car has been idle for a long while when the misses does it make any noise ? tapping,? check all your primary ign connections, any loose nuts on terminals and take for a ride, see if the miss does not happen get back to us, let us know, my 2 cents 37RAGTOPMAN
