When I purchased my 1936 Ford in California it came with an extra engine. The Santa Ana, Calif garage that rebuilt the brakes before shipping the car to Oregon kept the extra engine. I don't know if he still has it. I can contact my brother in Calif and have him check with the garage if you want.

Coupman, I have a 59ab complete that I think would be worth your while. Where do you live. I'm in La Porte, IN area, an Early V8 Club member. Send me an email and I'll tell you about it if interested. You've written that you don't want to expend a lot of dollars. I appreciate that. fsach@comcast.net

I have exhausted my search for usable 59ab block that I can rebuild for my stock 48 coupe. I contacted H&H but I can't afford even a short block, I don't have useable core so that's an additional $500. I know these engines getting harder to find, paid for three engines that have been unusable and of course no one will return any money, I guess its buyer beware. I thought maybe someone in the club could help me locate an engine thanks coupeman
