Terrible news. A couple of years ago I planned a business trip to Detroit just so I could go by his place and pick up a bunch of stuff I needed (and more that I might need). His assistant was out, so he had to figure out where she kept the labels for each kit he assembled by hand from the many bins in his shop. It was interesting to learn that he was originally from Agawam, MA, which is back my way. Very helpful and knowledgeable, as others have already said. Condolences to his family and friends, as well as to the entire early Ford hobby. He will be missed.

For those of you who only knew my long-time friend as a helpful voice on the telephone. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

Great picture Dave. It pretty well shows Roy as we all will remember. Either a Ford or Ohio State hat and a whimsical grin.

The hall at the funeral home was full -- while I go back with my involvement with Roy well before many, it was none the less an unbelievable out pouring of love and affection from all in attendance. I personally saw many others who I would not have met if it was not for knowing Roy. Thanks Roy. You improved my life and enhanced my involvement in old Fords and the Early Ford V-8 Club. And not to mention the great job you did in mentoring your children, your step children and your grand children. I wish you were still here to continue to guide us on our journey.
