My brother has a 1937 Ford Business Coupe that is missing the trunk striker and mounting metal. He needs to fabricate the metal for the striker. Can anyone reply with a photo as to what it looks like? He advises that a the sedan mounting metal is different. Thanks: Arnie

You might try EMS at ; www.emsautomotive.com. They make patch panels for old Fords and may already make the part you need. They do make new back panels and tool trays for '37 Ford coupes.

Sneezer, There is no such thing as a 1937 "Business Coupe". There are three Coupe models offered by Ford in 1937: De Luxe Coupe Standard Coupe Club Coupe.

Probably the Club Coupe with the huge trunk and no rear seating.

1937 Ford Club Coupe IS equipped with a rear seat (seats six passengers). The De Luxe Coupe has no rear seat, nor does the Standard Coupe (both are three passenger types with no rear seat or rumble seat). . . . . . 78-730B

Whatever model the car is we now know that it is a coupe with the huge rear trunk and no rear seats. This should be enough information for a member to photo the correct striker area

I hope you can find what you are looking for. Maybe you can post a photo of the car? Good luck with the car. T

Rescued from the desert and found in Los Angeles. Still flathead powered. Will be driven as it appears in the photo.
