Original Ford Literature is for sale by specialty dealers of old car literature and you may find a copy on ebay. Always be aware some of the original literature was reprinted. In the case of the blue cover body parts book, the reprint is much smaller in size than the original.

Thanks I need any and all photos of how the frame attaches to the body if possible. I'm dealing with no references whatsoever. I don't know what I have or what I'm missing. Thanks again Frank

Next discussion! Wood parts for the convertible! I find no wood parts for the 40 convertible sold anywhere. One guy showed me a pic that looks like he made one bow part out of electrical conduit. Another guy stated that he had the header bow manufactured. I was thinking I could make the header bow myself out of ash or other hard wood if I had adequate pics and/or dimensions. If anyone has any info or pics of the bows I would certainly appreciate it. I'm also a Hotrod and classic car show judge and I've yet to find a convertible at a show that I could photo. Please help I want to do something soon so I can cover my project outside over the winter until I can sell some cars for garage space. This whole convertible top thing is making me crazy. Best Franj

Check with Lebaron-Bonney. If they don't have the bows they can refer you to someone who does have them.

Hi There Can you send me a pic of the cover of the parts book you are talking about? I just spent another $25 on a blue cover 40 Ford parts book and its the worst thing I ever saw. No way a dealer parts counter can identify parts from this book.. In my technical publications development company we developed parts list with associated illustrations for parts identification and ordering. This book is just a parts listing, totally unusable.

Kube can you send me a pic of the cover of the parts book the illustration came from? If its not too much could you give me a pic of the parts listing that is associated with the exploded view you sent also? Thanks in advance, Frank
