I have a 1937 Ford 1.5 ton truck with 157 inch wheelbase, 12 ft rack body, V8, What is the car code for this vehicle, there are no 1.5 ton trucks listed in the car code site.
Incidentally it is a mostly original dealer demonstrator.

The model number for 1937 Trucks is 79 which was used for all 80HP V-8 1-1/2 ton trucks. There is also a body number so your truck's full designation is 79-955.

The model 79 truck came in several body styles and each has a number. The body number isn't generally used for any purpose today, but just in case you are interested, here's the list:
79-204 Dump Body (Wood)*
79-208 Dump Body (Galion)*
79-810 Cab and Chassis (131 1/2"* and 157" wheelbase)
79-820 Panel Truck*
79-900 131 1/2" Platform*
79-905 131 1/2" Platform-Stake*
79-950 157" Platform
79-955 157" Platform-Stake
* All 131 1/2" trucks came as Model 75 with a 60 horsepower V-8 and kept the same body number designation.

It's really interesting to hear that it's an original demonstrator truck. Can you share pictures or a story about it?
